Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Z Irani announced that Centre is working out a plan to ensure India’s every police station is equipped with forensic/rape investigation kit. “14,000 kits have been distributed to district administrations and police stations nationwide,” she further said, adding that the move is aimed to allow sexual violence cases to be properly probed.
