Chain-snatching incidents on the rise in Assam’s Bajali

Guwahati: A rising numbers of chain-snatching have been reported at Pathsala town in Bajali district of Assam.

The police officials have seemed to be failed in checking the incidents of robbery and chain-snatching in Pathsala.

Meanwhile the locals alleged that the police officials have failed to arrest the culprits.

Moreover, the people are now concerned about their own safety and security

It needs to be noted that the incidents of robbery and chain-snatching have been rising in Assam.

On Friday, the thieves have stolen over Rs.2 lakh and gold ornaments worth around Rs.4 lakh from the resident of a police official identified as Suresh Kalita.

Kalita had been posted at the special branch of the Assam police headquartered at Kahilipara in Guwahati of Assam.

In another incident, unidentified miscreants allegedly snatched the chain from a woman’s neck in broad daylight on Wednesday.

Reportedly, a few days ago there was an incident of thieves stealing mobile phones worth Rs.30 lakhs from a store named as MS creator in Pathsala town near state bank of India branch.
