Chandrayaan-3 Vikram Lander Module successfully performed final deboosting maneuver

National Desk, 20th August: India’s landmark lunar mission Chandrayaan-3 reached a milestone when the Vikram lander module successfully performed its second and final deboosting maneuver on Tuesday, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) said.

After this distance, the orbit of the lander module is now 25 km x 134 km. The ISRO also shared to conduct internal testing of the module and wait for sunrise at the designated landing site.

ISRO has also given a timetable, announcing that the power landing will take place on August 23, 2023, around 17:45 Hrs. IST. This development marks a significant step forward in India’s lunar exploration efforts.
