Chattisgarh CM: Makes Announcements For Changes On R-day
Guwahati: On the occasion of the 73rd Republic Day, Chattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has made a series of announcements.
The Chattisgarh Government stated that state employees will work 5 days a week and that the state’s pension contribution will be raised from 10% to 14% as part of the Anshdayi Pension Scheme.
He also stated that beginning in the Kharif season of 2022-23, crops/pulses such as moong, urad, and arhar will be purchased at the state’s Minimum Support Price (MSP).
The CM made an important statement for farmers by announcing that pulses will be procured at MSP starting in FY 2022-23. In addition, for the first two girl children, a sum of Rs. 20,000 each will be deposited in the bank accounts of registered labourers.
The state administration will also develop legislation to legitimize modest commercial activities that take place in residential areas. Thousands of small business owners would gain from this, who were previously living in a state of uncertainty.
All irregular projects on private land will be regularised and subjected to public safety standards, which is a game-changer because many homes have unknowingly broken the building code’s ordinarily strict rules.
The Chief Minister also announced that in line with the one-second building permission scheme running successfully in Municipal Corporations, similar provisions will be done for planning and fringe areas.
Chhattisgarh is thickly wooded and the majority of the tribal community relies on these forests for survival, Baghel stated that the rules for these forests will be simplified for the residents.
The CM declared that a large number of transport facilitation centres will be built across the state in order to generate jobs and ensure that the transportation department is accessible to the general public. He also stated that the rules for obtaining a Learning Driver’s License would be eased.
According to the Chief Minister, a paradigm shift in the state’s industrial policy was declared, with 10% of sites in industrial parks set aside for individuals belonging to the OBC category. The land premium would also be subsidized.
