Chhattisgarh: 4 Policemen Injured In Maoists Attack In Bijapur
Guwahati: Four security personnel were injured after Maoists opened fire on a police camp in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh.
The incident took place at the Jaigur Camp under the Kutru police limit in the Bijapur district of the state.
This was informed by an official on Monday.
According to the official, Maoists opened fire on the police camp late on Sunday evening in which the four policemen were injured in the incident.
Inspector General (IG) of police of Bastar in Chhattisgarh, P Sundarraj said that the injured personnel were shifted to the Bijapur district hospital and later two of them, Head Constables Tukeshwar Dhruv and Om Prakash Diwan Dhruv of the district police, were airlifted to Raipur for further treatment.
It needs to mentioned that three of the four injured are from the Bijapur district police force, while the other belongs from the 4th Battalion of the Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF).
