Chhattisgarh: Three Naxalites killed in Gunfight with Security Forces in Dantewada
National Desk, 25th December: In a clash during an anti-Naxal operation on Sunday, three Naxalites were reportedly killed in the Dantewada region of Chhattisgarh. The gunfight unfolded near Dabbakunna within the jurisdiction of the Katekalyan police station around 5:30 p.m., according to Inspector General of Police (Bastar Range) Sundarraj P.
The operation, spearheaded by the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Bastar Fighters, both state police forces, commenced from Tumakpal police camp towards Dabbakunna along the Dantewada-Sukma inter-district boundary. The encounter transpired on a forested hill between Tumakpal and Dabbakunna.
Following the exchange of gunfire, the bodies of three male Naxalites, attired in ‘uniform,’ were discovered at the scene, as mentioned by the IG. Additionally, an assortment of explosives and firearms was recovered at the encounter site.
