Chhattisgarh: Vishnu Deo Sai Emerges as BJP’s Choice for Chief Minister

National Desk, 10th December: In anticipation of the 2024 general elections, Vishnu Deo Sai, a tribal leader and former Union Minister, is reportedly the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) selection for the Chief Minister’s role in Chhattisgarh. Sources suggest that this aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of having a tribal leader at the helm in a state with a significant tribal population.

Vishnu Deo Sai, aged 59, is recognized for his organizational skills and holds a non-controversial image. A four-term Member of Parliament, he has been the president of the Chhattisgarh BJP unit since 2006.

Considered close to former Chief Minister Raman Singh, Sai’s nomination reflects the party’s strategy for the upcoming elections.

Having served as the junior minister for steel in the Modi government’s first term, Sai is known for his longstanding association with the BJP and is perceived as a key figure in the party’s Chhattisgarh leadership.
