Chief Minister Tamang Launches “Sikkim Aama Sahayog Yojana” to Provide LPG Relief for Sikkimese Mothers
Northeast Desk, 11th January: Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang introduces a groundbreaking initiative, the “Sikkim Aama Sahayog Yojana,” on January 11, aimed at supporting Sikkimese mothers grappling with soaring LPG prices. The scheme aims to provide significant relief by offering four LPG cylinders annually to eligible Sikkimese women, addressing the financial strain caused by expensive cooking gas.
Chief Minister Tamang’s announcement came during the Jan Bhet Karyakram, initiated on January 10, where he emphasized unity, community engagement, and collective benefits. He declared the commencement of the Chief Minister Gold Cup Football Tournament on January 15, promising a sports extravaganza encompassing various events.
The Chief Minister highlighted the commitment of the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) party to address healthcare and employment concerns. He announced the forthcoming distribution of appointment letters on a district-wise basis, ensuring equal opportunities for citizens across the region. Chief Minister Tamang emphasized the party’s dedication to assisting people, especially those in remote areas, and bridging gaps in healthcare accessibility.
