Guwahati: One child has gone missing after being washed away by the Brahmaputra River’s powerful currents at the Rajaduar Ghat in Guwahati of Assam on Tuesday night.
The child has been identified as 12-years-old Saidul Islam.
Locals claim that the incident took place when the young child arrived at the ghat to take a bath.
The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) have been conducting nonstop search operations to locate the child’s body since yesterday evening.
However, no sign of the missing child has been found yet.
