Citations to Indian Army Units Guarding LAC by Arunahal Governor

Guwahati: Brig Dr. BD Mishra (Retd), the governor of Arunachal Pradesh, continued his efforts to inspire Indian Army units defending the nation’s territorial integrity along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) on Monday by awarding citations to army units at the Raj Bhavan in this city.

Mishra gave the Governor’s Citation to the 97 Field Regiment, the First Battalion of Arunachal Scouts, and the 25th Battalion of the Madras Regiment in recognition of their professionalism and vigour in their respective operational responsibilities.

Colonel Vivek Pathak, the 97 Field Regiment’s commanding officer, Subedar Major SN Yadav, and Gunner Surjeet, the unit’s junior-most gunner, all got the Governor’s Citation.

The citation was given to the First Battalion of Arunachal Scouts’ Commanding Officer, Colonel Mukul Sati, Subedar Major Dorjee Khandu Bapu, and junior most Sepoy Azepso Ngadong.

The Governor’s citation for 25 Madras was presented to Colonel Saurabh Kumar Mishra, commanding officer of the 25th Battalion of the Madras Regiment, Subedar Major Hony Lieutenant General R Jay Kumar, and Junior Most Sepoy, Sepoy Manu.

The governor of Arunachal Pradesh urged the troops and commanding commanders to keep upholding the Line of Actual Control’s absolute inviolability in the state.
