CM Manik Saha Boards Train to Dharmanagar, Reinforces Tripura’s Connectivity Drive
Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha took a significant step to underscore the state’s rail infrastructure progress by boarding a train from Agartala Railway Station to Dharmanagar on April 9.
The journey, symbolic in nature, came ahead of a major event where the CM is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for 45 development projects across North Tripura district.
Choosing a train over helicopter services, Saha once again demonstrated his commitment to using public transportation—an approach that reflects both simplicity and a clear message about the importance of accessible, people-centric infrastructure. This isn’t the first time the Chief Minister has opted for rail travel, reinforcing his emphasis on sustainable and inclusive mobility for all.
The visit also serves as a strong endorsement of the infrastructural strides Tripura has made under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. From enhanced railway lines to improved roadway connectivity, the state has witnessed a series of transformative projects, with CM Saha actively translating national visions into on-ground reality.
His train journey stands as more than a personal travel choice—it’s a symbol of the state government’s ongoing efforts to build a modern, well-connected Tripura where development reaches even the most remote corners.
