CM Pema Khandu Engages with Mobius Young Professionals, Promotes Ecopreneurship in Arunachal
Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu interacted with a group of graduates and postgraduates from Arunachal and Nagaland specializing in forestry and environmental studies, as part of the Mobius Young Professionals training programme.
The one-year initiative, supported by the Mobius Foundation and implemented by North East Leaders Connect (NELC), aims to develop Ecopreneurs—leaders who integrate conservation with economic sustainability.
Sharing insights on his official X handle, CM Khandu expressed his enthusiasm for the programme, emphasizing its unique approach of incorporating indigenous knowledge to preserve the environment while fostering sustainable livelihoods. He noted that Arunachal Pradesh became the second state to implement the fellowship, following a successful pilot in Nagaland, aligning with the NELC Tawang Declaration 2023.
The chief minister also highlighted the importance of local wisdom in addressing environmental challenges without excessive external interventions. He further lauded NELC’s role in uniting policymakers, entrepreneurs, academicians, sports personalities, and cultural icons to drive progressive development across the Northeast.
Earlier, CM Khandu participated in the NELC meet, where he engaged in discussions with thought leaders from diverse fields, reinforcing his commitment to sustainable growth and ecological preservation in Arunachal Pradesh.
