CM Pema Khandu Highlights Women Empowerment and Cultural Preservation During Arunachal Tour

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu reaffirmed his commitment to women empowerment and cultural preservation during his five-day tour of Anjaw, Longding, and Kurung Kumey districts. His visit focused on community engagement, grassroots leadership, and addressing key regional concerns.

Sharing his vision on social media, CM Khandu emphasized the role of women in nation-building, stating, “Empowered women empower the nation!” He interacted with the BJP Mahila Morcha team of Lower Dibang Valley at Hawai, Anjaw, accompanied by Minister Dasanglu Pul. Stressing the importance of women’s leadership in political and social spheres, he reiterated his government’s commitment to strengthening community participation and inclusivity.

Beyond women’s empowerment, CM Khandu engaged with community delegates from Anjaw district, listening to their challenges and aspirations. He acknowledged the Meyor community, a small yet vibrant ethnic group with less than 1,000 people, for their resilience and dedication to preserving their heritage. Pledging government support, he assured that their grievances would be addressed.

Furthering his outreach, the Chief Minister also met with representatives of the Mishmi Welfare Society and All Mishmi Students’ Union, discussing key concerns affecting the community. He expressed a commitment to implementing solutions that uplift and empower the Mishmi people, ensuring their voices are heard in the state’s development agenda.

CM Khandu’s tour reflects his administration’s focus on inclusive governance, cultural preservation, and women-led progress, reinforcing his vision of a stronger, community-driven Arunachal Pradesh.
