Guwahati: Micro containment zone has been declared for seven days by the Kamrup Metro District Administration on Thursday.
The decision has been taken by the State Government keeping in view the increasing covid-19 cases detected among the people of Chief minister special vigilance cell.
According to reports, 11 out of 48 members of the superintendent office of police Chief minister special vigilance cell has been tested positive in Swatantra Senai Bhawan of Guwahati’s Rupnagar area.
The boundaries of the containment zone lie at ASTC towards the north, GMC road towards the south, Srimantapur Road towards the east, and Rupnagar Main Road towards the west.
As per the notification, any unauthorized entry and exit into the notified containment zone are barred for the next seven days also any movement of any unauthorized individual and vehicle within the notified area is also prohibited with immediate effect.
