Guwahati: The Income Tax Department conducted raids at the residence of a businessman in Assam.
According to reports, a group of officers from the Income Tax Department conducted a number of raids, including one at Suresh Thakuria’s home.
Officials conducted operations at Thakuria’s home and a coal depot he owns in Jorabat and Sonapur. The depot is at Fifteen Mile, according to the officials.
According to reports, the Income Tax Department began the raid at his doorsteps at around 5.30 am.
They have reportedly guarded the entrances and are not allowing anyone inside with assistance from the local police.
