Commotion Erupts Between BJP and TMC in Balurghat Constituency During Second Phase of Lok Sabha Elections in North Bengal

National Desk, 26th April: As the second phase of the Lok Sabha general elections unfolds in three constituencies of North Bengal, including Balurghat, a commotion erupted between the BJP and TMC on April 26.

In a video circulating on social media, BJP state chief Sukanta Majumdar can be seen engaged in a dispute with TMC workers. Majumdar alleged that TMC workers crowded polling booths in large numbers while chanting slogans of “Go back” directed at him.

The second phase of elections commenced in Balurghat, Raiganj, and Darjeeling constituencies of West Bengal. BJP state president Sukanta Majumdar is seeking re-election in the Balurghat constituency, where he will face off against seasoned TMC leader and Minister Biplab Mitra.

The latest voter turnout in the state stands at 15.68 per cent, with further details awaited as the situation develops.
