Congress Announces First List of Candidates for Lok Sabha Elections
National Desk, 8th March: The Congress party has unveiled its inaugural list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, encompassing constituencies across several states including Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura, as well as Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, and Telangana.
In Meghalaya, Vincent H Pala has been nominated to contest from the Shillong-ST seat, while Saleng A Sangma will represent Tura (ST). The Congress has fielded S. Supongmeren Jamir and Gopal Chettri in Nagaland and Sikkim respectively.

For Tripura West, Ashish Kumar Saha has been selected as the Congress candidate.
The party has revealed the names of 36 candidates from seven states, with three candidates, two from Karnataka and one from Telangana, being placed on hold for further deliberation.
Additional details concerning the candidates and their respective constituencies will be disclosed in due course.
In other news, sitting MP Rahul Gandhi is slated to contest from the Wayanad seat once again.
