All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) chief Maulana Badruddin Ajmal said that the alliance between the Congress-AIUDF is 100 percent guaranteed. He also stated that the two parties are waiting for Sonia Gandhi’s nod for the formal announcement. While addressing a party meeting in Karimganj, Ajmal said that the alliance between Congress and AIUDF will definitely take place and he is 100 percent sure about that.
Ajmal said, “The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) had a brief discussion with All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary in-charge of Assam Jitendra Singh who is on a seven-day visit to Assam. I am sure that the party has definitely made their points clear about the alliance. Currently, we are just waiting for the official confirmation from Congress president Sonia Gandhi. She has to give her nod for the alliance by signing all the required documents.”
He also added, “By December the paper works will be done and we will definitely come with an official announcement of the grand alliance. Till then we have to wait and it will take some time.”
