Congress Leader Ripun Bora Hits Back at Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis

Assam: Congress leader Ripun Bora launched a scathing attack on Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, accusing the BJP of being frustrated over the growing popularity of the Congress party. Bora asserted that the BJP’s criticism stems from its inability to counter the Congress resurgence effectively.

“What Maharashtra CM has said is due to frustration because of the growing popularity of the Congress party. All ranks of the BJP are frustrated,” Bora said in a statement. He highlighted the legacy of the Congress party and the contributions of its leaders, emphasizing the sacrifices made by the Gandhi family for the nation.

Bora challenged the BJP to identify any of its leaders who had made similar sacrifices. “The history recognizes the contribution of the Gandhi family. Can the BJP cite any BJP leader who sacrificed their life for the country?” he questioned.

Additionally, Bora reaffirmed the Congress party’s commitment to honouring national icons like Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a key architect of the Indian Constitution, and refuted any allegations suggesting otherwise. “The Congress party has always been giving due respect to Babasaheb Ambedkar,” he added.

This war of words comes amidst heightened political tensions as both parties gear up for the upcoming elections, with leaders from both sides intensifying their rhetoric to galvanize support.
