Guwahati, 30th November: Cabinet Minister Pijush Hazarika has asserted that Congress leaders Gaurav Gogoi and Pradyut Bordoloi are set to publicly announce an alliance with the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Addressing the media, Hazarika mentioned that the announcement is scheduled to take place in Dibrugarh.
While discussing the political landscape, Hazarika expressed confidence in the saffron party’s success under the leadership of Himanta Biswa Sarma, stating that the alliances formed by other parties would not impede the BJP’s electoral prospects.
In addition to the political developments, Hazarika highlighted the distribution of the Dr Banikanta Kakati award to 35,770 meritorious students. The award includes scooters for girl students securing the first position and boys achieving 75 percent and above in the HS final year examinations. Hazarika emphasized that such initiatives aim to encourage and recognize academic excellence among students in the state.
