Guwahati: Congress leader Shashi Tharoor arrives in Guwahati on Saturday to begin the campaign for the upcoming party presidential election.
According to reports, he went to Rajiv Bhawan with Pradyut Bordoloi.
However, Bhupen Borah of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), among other politicians was not there to greet Tharoor at the airport.
Mallikarjun Kharge visited Guwahati a few days ago as part of his electoral campaigning.
There will be a presidential election for the Congress on October 17.
Both Mallikarjun Kharge and Shashi Tharoor have submitted their election nominations.
