Congress Sets Agenda for Upcoming Parliament Session

Guwahati, 21st July: The Indian National Congress has outlined its priorities for the upcoming Parliament session, targeting critical issues ranging from governance failures to national security. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh revealed that party representative Gaurav Gogoi presented these key points during an all-party meeting chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

At the forefront of the Congress agenda are alleged irregularities in national-level examinations, including NEET and NET, along with controversies surrounding the UPSC. The party is also poised to raise concerns about the declining state of railway safety and the implementation of the Agniveer scheme.

National security remains a significant focus, with the Congress planning to address ongoing issues in Manipur and Jammu, as well as challenges along the India-China border. Environmental concerns, particularly recent floods and natural disasters, are also set for discussion.

Additionally, the Congress intends to scrutinize Centre-state relations and economic policies, indicating a thorough critique of the current government’s performance. The party also aims to spotlight what it describes as ‘deliberate attempts’ at polarisation in states like Uttar Pradesh through allegedly unconstitutional orders.

This comprehensive agenda underscores the Congress’s commitment to holding the government accountable on multiple fronts during the upcoming session.
