Guwahati, 8th September: In an incident in Dhubri, Assam, a constable named Shivesh Sen Gupta was apprehended by Sadar Police after being caught stealing onions from a parked truck in the early hours of Friday.
The incident, which occurred around 3 am, was captured on CCTV cameras in front of a godown belonging to Mubarak Hussain and Mynal Haque in Ward No. 5. The video evidence left no doubt about the constable’s identity.
Dhubri has experienced a surge in burglaries recently, and this case involving a police officer has drawn significant attention and concern from the community.
