Guwahati: Smugglers changed their method of transporting cattle after several incidents in Assam where cattle heads were found in trucks and other vehicles.
As many as 41 cattle heads were rescued in Golaghat district on Wednesday.
They were rescued from a container truck that had been intercepted in Bokakhat on its way to Nagaon’s Samuguri.
Meanwhile, the truck’s driver has been detained by the police in connection with the seizure.
