Cops: Mastermind Found In Ranjit Bora Murder Case
Guwahati: Amir Ali is the prime accused in the famed Ranjit Bora murder case.
This was informed by the police on Tuesday.
Ali was taken into custody yesterday evening at his in-laws’ home in Morigaon. He confessed to being the mastermind of the attack that killed businessman Ranjit Bora in Guwahati in broad daylight during questioning.
It should be noted that Ali has a number of crimes, including robbery and violence, filed against him in Guwahati.
According to reports, he was also an informer to the police at one point of time.
Police added that a manhunt has been started to find each and every member of Amir’s gang, which has between 10 and 15 members and operates within the city.
The bike that was used in the murder was also found at Amir’s in-laws’ house.
On November 21, Ranjit Bora, the manager of the well-known milk company Purabi Dairy was allegedly shot dead in broad daylight in the Panjabari area of Guwahati.
He later passed away at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) from gunshot wounds.
The incident occurred while he went to bank to deposit money.
