Guwahati: With the COVID-19 cases being on the rise in certain parts of Assam, Bokakhat witnessed an Army flag march in order to keep civilians from coming out during curfew hours and further being the cause behind the spread of the virus.
This was done after an order from Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary. The Minister claimed that not only Bokakhat, but the flag march will also take place in other parts of the Golaghat district which includes Sarupathar as well.
He added, “The new district magistrate will decide on the opening of grocery shops. We all will have to work together to prevent the spread of the virus.”
