COVID cases in Sikkim crosses 3000 mark

Sikkim COVID cases crosses 3000 mark with 42 new positive cases. One more COVID related death takes the fatality figures to 41 now. The deceased was a 77 year old lady from Bahai School road, Tadong. She was admitted in the ICU yesterday with some complications but succumbed at around 8 pm last night.

An RTPCR test was done on her yesterday, the result of which showed that she was COVID positive. She had comorbidities of diabetes and kidney ailment. Out of the 42 new positive cases, 39 are from East Sikkim with majority being from Gangtok. South is 1 and West 2. There are 9 patients in the ICU at the moment in the state of Sikkim.
