Guwahati: All Assam Cinema Hall Employees Association staged a protest demanding the reopening of cinema halls across the state.
The employees and workers had expressed displeasure over the government’s functioning as it has not allowed to reopen the cinema halls even when there is a “great improvement” in the COVID19 situation.
The employees stated that since the government has not taken any step to look into the issues of the cinema hall employees, they have fallen into a huge crisis. They claimed that they are in a massive financial crisis as they are stuck with no work for the past many months.
They also added that in order to get through the monthly finances, some of them are forced to do odd jobs.
