Guwahati: Sivsagar Police arrested the main mastermind behind the Ujani cow syndicate, BJP’s Chhatradhar Gogoi.
According to reports, Chhatradhar Gogoi was running the cattle smuggling from Assam’s Ujani. He was arrested under the direction of Sivasagar’s Superintendent of Police Rakesh Roshan.
It may be mentioned that Gogoi before the by-elections to the last assembly, left Congress and joined the BJP.
Meanwhile, Sivasagar is in turmoil after MLA Sushant Bargohai’s close associate Gogoi was caught by the police. It needs to be mentioned that Chhatradhar Gogai was the main accused of Rajmai of Shivsagar, Dichangmukh as well as Dibrugarh, Laxmipur cattle syndicate.
