Northeast Desk, 20th March: Sikkim’s political arena witnesses a significant transformation as prominent figures gather at the Dentam Vijay Bhava Jan Sammelan on March 20, marking a pivotal shift in the state’s political dynamics.

Former Sports and Youth Affairs Secretary Raju Basnett, former Rural Development Department Secretary Chewang Gyatso Bhutia, former MLA Gopal Baraily, former SKM Working President Bharti Sharma, and Hemendra Adhikari, SDF party’s CLC President, all made notable appearances at the event. SKM President Prem Singh Tamang graced the occasion, signifying its importance.

The trio joined SKM during the culmination of the party’s public outreach program, Ghar Dailo Abhiyan, held at Rangpo.

Accompanied by over 5000 supporters, the three new members were warmly welcomed into SKM by Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang. Tamang, popularly known as PS Golay, expressed his satisfaction with the development, praising the new members for their decision to align with the party.

These successive entries into SKM underscore the evolving political landscape in Sikkim, hinting at potential realignments and alliances in the run-up to future elections.
