CV Ananda Bose Sworn In As New Guv of West Bengal
Guwahati: CV Ananda Bose took oath as the next governor of West Bengal on Wednesday.
Bose received the oath of office from Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court Prakash Shrivastava in front of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, several state officials and Speaker Biman Banerjee at a ceremony held in the Raj Bhavan.
The state assembly’s opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari skipped the programme.
A retired IAS officer Bose from the 1977 batch and from the Kerala cadre was appointed as the new governor of West Bengal on November 17.
He took over as governor in place of La Ganesan.
Bose worked as the National Museum’s administrator in Kolkata before retiring in 2011.
