Guwahati: The Gauhati High Court has denied Rajmohan Ray’s request for bail after he was suspended as the Superintendent of Police (SP) for the Darrang district.
The court has ordered the Crime Investigation Department (CID) to submit the case diary on Monday.
The SP is still on the run following accusations that he handled the death of the 13-year-old girl in Darrang’s Dhula improperly.
A second SP Rupam Phukan has been remanded to CID custody for an extra two days. He was brought before a special court on Wednesday.
Three doctors were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the case of the minor girl who died. The arrested doctors are Dr. Arun Ch. Deka, Dr. Ajanta Bordoloi and Dr. Anupam Sharma of the Mangaldoi Civil Hospital.
Earlier today, the CID summoned the Executive Magistrate Ashirbad Hazarika of the Dalgaon Revenue Circle.
