Darshan Of Ram Lalla To Be Opened For Devotees By December 2023
Guwahati: After a two-day meeting to assess the progress is made on the Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya, it was announced that work on the three-story superstructure had begun and would likely be completed by December 2023.
On the ground level of the Ram Temple, there will be a Garbh Griha and five Mandaps. A 24-foot-tall plinth that will directly support the weight of the temple is being used as the foundation for the superstructure.
The plinth’s construction, which had started in February of this year, is now finished. Given that the majority of ancient temples were constructed on naturally occurring rocky strata, the Ram temple’s engineering team chose granite stone for the plinth construction.
Nripendra Mishra, the chairman of the construction committee, claims that cut Red Rajasthan Sandstone from Bansi Paharpur in the Bharatpur area will be used to build the Parkota’s superstructure. The RCC retaining wall and Parkota’s foundation are being built as planned, and progress has been made thus far.
Indian Railways and the Container Corporation of India assisted in moving the granite stone. Due to the Indian Railways’ collaboration, the plinth work’s completion date was shortened by two months.
A Pilgrimage Facilitation Centre is also being constructed for the convenience of pilgrims. It will provide amenities including a place to leave shoes and other personal items, waiting areas for 5,000 pilgrims, drinking water, restrooms, and other necessities.
The master plan in the remaining area of the complex is under finalization in which temples of Rishi Valmiki, Acharya Vashisth, Rishi Viswamitra, Agastya Rishi, Nishad, Jatayu, and Mata Sabri have been planned.
The plans also include additional facilities like Yagna Mandap, Sant Niwas, museum, research centre, and library, with maximum focus on green areas which would be devotee friendly.
The darshan of Ram Lalla will be opened for devotees by December 2023. The general secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Champat Rai tweeted, “Shri Ram Bhakts will be able to have darshan of Lord Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. The construction work of the first floor of the temple will be completed and the temple will be consecrated at the auspicious time as soon as the sun sets.”
It should be mentioned that according to current estimates, building the temple and the complex will cost a total of about Rs 1800 crores.
