DC Kailash Karthik’s speech on eve of 73rd Republic Day
Guwahati: Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup Kailash Karthik on Wednesday addressed the nation on the eve of 73rd Republic Day.
In his address to the nation, Kailash stated, “Last year, as the humanity almost came to a halt in the face of COVID, a calamity of gigantic proportions, I often found myself reflecting on the central message of the Constitution. Our effective response to the pandemic would not have been possible without our Constitutional value of ‘Fraternity.”
While hosting the National Flag in Kumar Bhaskar Barman Kshetra at Amingaon, Kailash expressed Republic Day greetings to all the people of the district. He also paid tribute to the freedom fighters and members of the Constituent Assembly including B.R. Ambedkar.
Kailash also enlightened the audience on the significance of the Republic Day celebrations.
He further stated that Justice, Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity are the perennial principles of Indian philosophy of life and this land and its inhabitants have cherished these ideals from the time immemorial. These were the principles that guided the nation’s founders.
He praised the district’s advanced status and asked all residents to work together to achieve a dignified, self-sufficient lifestyle, quick economic development, and social fairness.
