Guwahati: In a shocking incident, a dead body of a person was recovered from Laxmilunga Village in Mohanpur Block in West Tripura District of Tripura on Thursday morning.
The dead body was recovered from Lakshmilunga tea garden.
The body was first spotted by the locals and informed Airport police station.
Airport Police Station OC Himadri Sarkar along with police team reached the scene.
After conducting a preliminary investigation at the scene of the recovery, authorities concluded that the person had been killed elsewhere before being left here.
The deceased has been identified as Swapan Das around 45 years of age a resident of Chandinamura area.
Police recovered the body and sent it for post mortem to the Agartala GB hospital.
The incident has caused a stir throughout the region.
