Guwahati: Dead Lizard Found in Packet of Potato Chips

Guwahati, 15th October: A shocking and distressing incident came to light when a family in Guwahati discovered a dead lizard inside a packet of Jabsons potato chips.

Arinjoy Sandilya, a resident, made this unsettling discovery after his family had already consumed more than half of the packet of chips.

To their dismay, the lizard’s body was found to be surprisingly well-preserved and coated with the chip seasoning. Subsequently, the family experienced stomach infections presumably linked to the consumption of the chips.

In response to this shocking discovery, the family reached out to Jabsons, the manufacturer of the potato chips, and provided photographs of the sealed packet containing the deceased reptile. Initially, they were directed to communicate through email.

After persistent efforts, they managed to engage with a company representative who denied any possibility of such an incident occurring within their factory premises. The company disavowed any responsibility for this egregious mistake.

Frustrated and concerned about the company’s response, the family has decided to take the matter further by filing a formal complaint with the relevant food safety regulatory authorities.

This incident has raised serious questions regarding food safety standards, consumer safety, and the accountability of major corporations like Jabsons, highlighting the need for stricter quality control and vigilance within the food industry. It also serves as a reminder for consumers to remain vigilant and report any such incidents to protect the well-being of the public.
