Delhi: 17 injured and 5 houses collapse after Cylinder blast in Azadpur
Guwahati: At least 17 people injured and around five houses were damaged due to a cylinder blast in Delhi on Sunday.
According to reports, a cylinder blast in a house in Delhi around 10am near Lalbagh masjid, Azadpur.
In the incident about 17 people sustained burn injuries and were shifted to the hospital. While 16 were admitted to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital with minor burn injuries and one was admitted to RML hospital.
However, no casualties were reported in the incident, reports claimed.
On preliminary investigation, it was found that one person namely Pappu Kumar was changing gas cylinders in his 3rd floor home when the cylinder exploded, causing his roof and walls to fall, as well as 4 other 2nd floor homes to collapse,” police said in a report.
It may be mentioned that four fire tenders were rushed to place and douse the fire.
