Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Alleges “Illegal” ED Summonses as Political Conspiracy

National Desk, 18th January: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal asserted on Thursday (January 18) that the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) summonses issued to him were “illegal” and part of a political conspiracy to hinder his campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Kejriwal alleged that the repeated summons aimed to arrest him ahead of the high-stakes polls, expected in April-May. He mentioned receiving a fourth summons from the Enforcement Directorate, asking him to appear on either January 18 or January 19.

“The BJP is running the ED. They only intend to arrest me so that I cannot campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections,” he claimed, emphasizing that he had sent his reply to the central agency.
