Delhi Court Grants Pre-Arrest Bail to Jacqueline Fernandez

Guwahati: Actress Jacqueline Fernandez was granted bail on Tuesday by the Patiala House court in Delhi in the Rs. 200 crore money laundering case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekar.

Fernandez had applied for bail, claiming that because the investigation was finished and a charge sheet had been submitted, she didn’t need to be kept in custody.

The court had ordered Fernandez to appear in court on September 1 after accepting the supplemental charge sheet submitted by the Enforcement Directorate.

Fernandez who was repeatedly summoned by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the investigation is listed as an accused for the first time in the supplemental charge sheet.

She was not listed as an accused in the agency’s initial charge sheet or the supplemental charge sheet.
