Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia Reaches CBI Office for Questioning
Guwahati: Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia arrived at the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) office for questioning on the Delhi Excise policy case on February 26.
Prior to being questioned by the investigative agency, he hosted a sizable roadshow on Sunday and asked Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) members to take care of his family if he goes to jail.
A week after being first invited to attend he will appear before the agency. The 51-year-old lawmaker who is also in charge of finance requested additional time citing the creation of the Delhi budget.
His request was eventually granted and he was requested to arrive on February 26 instead.
Following his visit to the CBI headquarters, security was stepped up outside Sisodia’s house with the deployment of a Rapid Action Force (RFA) and four-layer barricades.
According to reports, Section 144 was enforced around the CBI headquarters as the AAP objected to Sisodia’s summons.
Reportedly, the central investigation agency allegedly prepared a thorough list of queries for Sisodia.
