Delhi fog: 18 trains delayed due to low visibility
National Desk, 15th January: As dense fog envelops Delhi, 18 trains bound for the capital are experiencing delays, and flight services are also impacted.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) anticipates persistent dense to very dense fog conditions in North India for the next four to five days.
Notable train delays include the Katihar-Amritsar Express, Hyderabad-New Delhi Express, Jammutawi-Ajmer Pooja Express, Rewa-Anand Vihar Express, Banaras-New Delhi, and Kamakhya-Delhi Junction Brahmaputra Express.
Flight operations are severely affected, with diversions and cancellations due to low visibility. The cold morning of January 14th exacerbated visibility issues, prompting advisories from airport authorities and raising concerns about air quality in the ‘severe’ category.
Travelers are urged to exercise caution and stay updated on travel advisories.
