Delhi Government Proposes Free Bus Travel for Transgender Community

National Desk, 6th February: The Delhi government, aiming to address the neglect faced by the transgender community, announces plans to make travel on Delhi buses entirely free for transgender individuals. Arvind Kejriwal emphasizes the importance of equality, stating, “Transgender individuals are also human beings with equal rights; their neglect in our society should not persist.”

Awaiting approval and soon to be implemented after passing through the cabinet, this proactive step seeks to ensure equal access to public transportation without financial constraints for transgender individuals.

Kejriwal highlights the decision as a commitment to promoting equality and breaking down barriers faced by marginalized communities.
