Delhi Govt Bans Production, Sale and Use of Firecrackers till January 1, 2023

Guwahati: Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai announced on Wednesday that all sorts of firecrackers will be prohibited in the nation’s capital until January 1, 2023.

He said that the restriction covers the purchase of fireworks online.

“Production, storage, sale and use of all types of firecrackers are being completely banned so that people’s lives can be saved,” Rai tweeted.

This time, the sale and distribution of firecrackers online in Delhi would also be prohibited. The restriction will be in effect until January 1, 2023.

Rai stated that an action plan will be developed with the Delhi Police, Delhi Pollution Control Committee, and Revenue Department to guarantee stringent implementation of the prohibition, according to PTI.
