Delhi Police Detain Two Assam Youths on Suspicion of Illegal Immigration
Assam: Two youths from Assam have been detained in Delhi on suspicion of being illegal Bangladeshi immigrants, leading to an investigation by a Delhi Police team in Bhawlaguri under the Bongaigaon Sadar police station area.
The team is currently verifying the detainees’ addresses and identities by questioning locals and visiting their family residences. Officials have specifically approached the families of Tarachand Khan and Gafoor Ali, collecting documents to corroborate the individuals’ citizenship.
A local resident stated, “The police suspected them to be Bangladeshi and searched for documents at the residences of Gafoor Ali and Tarachand Khan.”
