Delhi Police Special Cell to Recreate Parliament Security Breach Scene to Uncover Details

National Desk, 15th December: The Delhi Police Special Cell is set to recreate the scene of the recent security breach at the Parliament complex on December 13. The breach involved two individuals infiltrating the Lok Sabha chamber from the visitors’ gallery and triggering smoke canisters, disrupting parliamentary proceedings.

Mastermind Lalit Mohan Jha, who surrendered after initially fleeing the scene, is among the five arrested individuals. The recreation aims to understand how the accused bypassed stringent security measures and executed their plan. The police plan to conduct the reenactment over the weekend during a break in the ongoing Winter Session of Parliament.

To gather further evidence, the police will visit a Gurugram flat where the suspects met and investigate a list of 50 mobile numbers contacted by the accused in the past 15 days to identify potential accomplices.

All arrested individuals face charges under sections 16 (terrorism) and 18 (conspiracy for terrorism) of the UAPA Act. The police also plan to take the accused to various locations, including Lucknow, Mumbai, and Mysore, for further interrogation. The reenactment is a crucial step in unraveling the details of the security breach and preventing future incidents.
