Dengue Alert: 2 Die of Dengue at GMCH
Guwahati: As dengue continues to rattle different districts of Assam, two persons have lost their lives due to the infections at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
This was informed by Superintendent Dr. Abhijeet Sarma.
Dr. Sarma further informed that the two patients were also afflicted with liver illness. “One patient was admitted on November 7 and the other on November 10 to the hospital. A total of 18 individuals who tested positive for dengue were hospitalised to the hospital, said Dr. Sarma.
He added that two patients are now receiving treatment in the ICU and that 6 patients had been released after fully recovering from the illness.
Notably, 642 persons have tested positive for dengue as of November 9, with Karbi Anglong having the highest number of cases at 543.
