Guwahati: All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) legislator from Dhing constituency, Aminul Islam has termed the Dhalpur eviction a preplanned incident.
The MLA said that the government knew that retaliation would have taken place at the eviction ground and the police would have to resort to firing. “This proves that whatever happened in Sipajhar’s Dhalpur was all planned and the Government had done everything intentionally”, he added.
He added that the people in the area were living in there for almost 60-70 years and it was normal for them to retaliate when the government had come to demolish their houses.
He further added that the Government had demolished madrassas and mosques in the area which were a major cause of disruption among the locals.
