Guwahati: In the ongoing crackdown on child marriage across the state of Assam, one teacher has been arrested in Dhurbri district on Monday.
The teacher has been identified as Nasiruddin Sheikh.
As per reports, Nasiruddin served as a teacher at Hatidhura Senior Secondary School in Tamarhat and also employed as Qazi.
Reportedly, Nasiruddin was arrested by Tamarhat Police.
Currently, he is under the custody of Tamarhat Police who is investigating the matter.
