Dibrugarh Municipal Board Initiates Eviction Drive to Clear Illegal Business Encroachments from Highway
Guwahati, 7th August: In order to deal with the problem of unauthorized business premises that have encroached upon the city’s roadways, the Dibrugarh Municipal Board has taken immediate action. The Monday eviction operation aims to rid the streets of illegal stores and sellers that have been clogging up traffic and polluting the environment.
In an effort to restore the proper functioning of the highways and ensure smooth traffic flow, the civic body has issued a strict order that prohibits the opening of any shop on the highway with immediate effect.
Furthermore, the municipal board has stated that shop owners and traders who have been affected by the eviction will be provided with designated spaces in other areas to continue their businesses. This measure is aimed at striking a balance between maintaining order on the highways and supporting local businesses.
The eviction drive is being carried out in accordance with the law, and the affected parties have been given due notice prior to the implementation of the eviction. The Dibrugarh Municipal Board is committed to creating a safe and orderly environment for all residents and visitors in the city.
