Dimapur Dazzles as Kelulu Dawhuo Crowned Miss Universe Nagaland 2025
Kohima – In a glittering evening that celebrated grace and intellect, 19-year-old Kelulu Dawhuo, representing the vibrant Chakhesang tribe, was officially crowned Miss Universe Nagaland 2025. The grand event, held at the RCEMPA in Jotsoma, near Kohima, saw a packed house and an electric atmosphere, all meticulously organised under the aegis of the Beauty and Aesthetic Society of Nagaland (BASN).
Dawhuo, a Bachelor of Arts student at St Joseph’s College, Jakhama, captivated the judging panel and the audience with her poise and charm, emerging victorious over 13 other talented finalists. Her journey to this prestigious title has been marked by consistent success, having previously secured the second runner-up position at Miss Nagaland 2024 and currently holding the title of Miss Kohima 2024. This latest triumph now paves her way to represent Nagaland at the much-anticipated Miss Universe India pageant, scheduled for later this year.
The competition was fierce, with reigning Miss Nagaland 2024, Anon Konyak A, earning the first runner-up spot, showcasing her continued presence in the state’s beauty circuit. Debutante Teilih Konyak impressed all, clinching the second runner-up position, a remarkable feat for a first-time contestant. The esteemed panel of judges included none other than Rhea Singha, the reigning Miss Universe India 2024, and Amjad Khan, Director of Franchise Operations, Miss Universe India, ensuring a fair and distinguished selection. The event was further graced by the special appearance of Ruopfuzano Whiso, the outgoing Miss Universe Nagaland 2024 and a proud fourth-place winner at Miss Universe India 2024, adding to the evening’s glamour.
